Register here.Join artist in residence Morrigan DeVito for a birding and nature journaling workshop. Observing birds is restorative and connects us to the seasons, especially when our Las Vegas spring is so brief. With a little over 310 bird species that can be found at Clark County Wetlands Park throughout the year, you may be wondering where to begin in getting to know the birds of Wetlands Park. By creating a nature journal, you can deepen your observations, presence, and connection to the birds you find. At this workshop, we will learn about the practice of nature journaling before going out to observe birds and create a nature journal page that synthesizes field notes, poetry, and drawings. All levels of birders, writers, and artists are welcome!
This program will be held outdoors and includes a short walk, approximately .5 miles round trip. If you require mobility assistance, please contact us. Journaling instruction and practice will be seated.
